Photo of Tosoh Bioscience’s new assembly space
Here are four examples of TJK’s recent retrofitting projects.

LVLUP Martial Arts
TJK recently completed the second of two projects for LVLUP Martial Arts, finalizing their Verona location. The facility is housed within an industrial flex building featuring a steel structure, concrete foundation, and metal building exterior. Before the retrofit, the property functioned as a professional office with warehousing, a mezzanine, and even a basketball court. Our team transformed this unique space into a martial arts facility, tailored to LVLUP’s needs, including a ninja warrior course! Check out this welcome message from owner, Mike Moh!
Tosoh Bioscience – Separation & Purification
Last year, our team took an existing professional office in the Fitchburg Business & Research Park and converted it into a location for Tosoh, a multi-national bioscience company, that accommodates assembly, professional office, R&D, and lab space.

BIOFerm
Our crew completed another project in the bioscience realm last year for BIOFerm. We took what was originally a professional office and retrofitted it into a unique combination of professional office, training, and product warehousing space. TJK also delineated a portion of space within the BIOFerm building for a separate business—two individual businesses operating where only one previously existed!
Dentistry for Madison
Our work with Dentistry For Madison involved two 100-year-old historic homes originally owned and lived in by Madison families. Given the downtown location, it’s likely these homes were later converted into multi-tenant rental units before being purchased by Dr. Jay Hazen. The two separate buildings were then connected and retrofitted into a modern dental clinic. If you look closely at the photo to the right, you’ll notice the connector adjoining the two properties.
